The Dog offers a fabulous range of quality local ales and lager, including the popular Weetwood and other local and national ales.

Weetwood Best Bitter – 3.8%

A traditionally brewed bitter, it is a good session beer with rounded flavour, sharp bitterness with a hoppy and pleasant finish.

Weetwood Cheshire Cat – 4.0%

Blonde ale, smooth foretaste while hoppy & fruity throughout to the finish.

Timothy Taylor Boltmaker – 4.0%

A well-balanced, genuine Yorkshire Bitter, with a full measure of maltiness and hoppy aroma – Boltmaker is first choice for the discerning drinker – on both sides of the Pennines.

Glacier – 3.6%

One of our Guest Ales, packed full of USA hops but brewed to a sessional strength, with a more relaxed bitterness profile, giving an easy drinking experience.

Kodiak – 4.0%

One of our Guest Ales, finest German hops combine to give this classic session pale, a dry and citrusy bite, with a refreshing dry finish.

Bunji (Gundog Pale) – Bitter – 3.8%

One of our Guest Ales, crisp, easy drinking traditional pale ale brewed for refreshment and endless drinkability.

Guinness – 4.1%

Brewed to perfection for over 200 years. Crack it open. The unmistakable deep-dark colour. The crisp hint of roasted barley, the fresh breeze of hops. The refreshing bite. The bittersweet reward. Pure beauty. Pure Guinness. Guinness Original works well with spiced deserts, cheeses and fish – especially lobster.

Coors – 4.0%

The Worlds Most Refreshing Beer, is the fourth best-selling beer in the U.S. Introduced in 1978, Coors has been a favourite in delivering the ultimate in cold refreshment for more than 25 years. Coors unique frost-brewing process locks in a taste as cold as the Rockies.

Birra Murano – 4.6%

Made especially for the most demanding palates with strong notes of barley, vanilla and cloves, and a warming, sunrise-gold colour. The ABV does not compromise on the taste and quality but does offer a lighter and more refreshing expression of this 100% pure malt lager.

Dortmunder Vier – 4.0%

A genuine imported German pilsner, Dormunder, in our opinion, is best-quality pint in the UK. It is brewed to strict German purity laws which dicate that only water, wheat and hops are used. The pale lager with key influences from Pilsner, gold in colour with a moderate bitterness from the Noble hops, Dortmunder Vier has a lean body, full of character with a beautiful, crisp finish.

Apple Shed – 4.5%

Appleshed is a smooth cider that has a complex taste journey. With a single-apple flavour, it is slightly tart and sour. It’s the blend of the bittersweet cider apples, grown and pressed in Herefordshire, that gives Appleshed Original its unique, thirst-quenching taste.

Cruz Campo – 4.4%

Refreshing Spanish lager with a great flavour and character.

Lucky Saint – 0.5%

Lucky Saint is a Superior Unfiltered Lager made with just four natural ingredients – Pilsner Malt, Hallertau Hops, Bavarian Spring Water and single-use yeast. We leave our beer unfiltered for maximum flavour, without the alcohol. 96 calories per pint and vegan.
